L-Arginine
- 500mg
Research studies have found that L-Arginine has been helpful in the
reduction of some IC symptoms. In 1999, a double-blind study using
1.5 grams of arginine for three months in a group of women with
interstitial cystitis, reported considerable improvement compared
with the effect of a placebo in a variety of indices. Although other
research results are somewhat contradictory, this supplement
may help.

pH Choice and pH Control
pH
Choice is the acid reducing Alka-Plex™ formula that comes as
granules in a shaker bottle for sprinkling on prepared foods, adding
to beverages and adding to recipes. The instant it touches foods or
beverages, hot or cold, pH Choice neutralizes the acid! pH Choice

pH Control is designed to pass through the stomach
without dissolving and deliver an effective, natural and safe acid
neutralizer into the intestinal tract where it can be absorbed into
the body fluids and be carried into the bladder and urinary tract.
The effectiveness of pH Control™ has been proven in laboratory
testing and pre-clinical studies.

is combined with a calcium-based weak alkalizer. Other, inactive
ingredients include Cellulose Gum.

Desert
Harvest Aloe
One of the most researched supplements created
especially for IC patients!
Each
Desert Harvest aloe vera capsule contains 600 milligrams of freeze-
dried aloe vera from the whole leaf and contains 200 mg. of
mucopolysaccharide (MPS), the active ingredient in the aloe plant.
This is 'cold processed'. All of the water and most of the fiber has
been morved. It is not a laxative, as the aloin and aloe emodin is
removed.
In a double blind, placebo controlled clinical trial in IC patients,
87.% of participants received relief from atleast one symptom of
their IC. 50% received relief from all or most of their symptoms.
Only one patient did not respond within 30 days.
